The Red Wedding, a ready-to-wear collection with couture elements by BAAQIY, intricately examines the nuances of a traditional wedding. BAAQIY artfully captures the chaos of wedding planning and the unpredictability of the big day, portraying the spectrum of emotions associated with this significant event. From the all-encompassing emotion of LOVE to the intoxicating allure of LUST, the ethereal essence of DIVINITY, the haunting resonance of BETRAYAL, to the hopeful promise of REDEMPTION—each ensemble within this thought-provoking collection becomes a visual narrative.
The collection debuted at Miscellania, a club in Melbourne CBD. Models walked through a sea of audience, in gothic inspired makeup, as they embodied the persona of each essence.
